On Demand Training for Bringing Hope to Every Interaction – 3 hours Continuing Education
Everyone has a role in supporting recovery; this workshop helps you identify yours.
Bringing Hope to Every Interaction brings recovery principles and practical skills to reception, front office and other non-clinical staff while reminding more experienced clinical staff and Certified Peer Counselors of the basics in recovery principles. It is the perfect way to get staff and administration on the same page and working in a unified, collaborative way. The training runs 4 hours. and includes lecture and video on non-verbal communication and recovery principles based on SAMHSA’s Guiding Principles of Recovery. Participants hear from a panel of local peers about their recovery from mental illness or substance use disorders and the people who helped them. It also includes an exercise that provides an opportunity for participants to identify internal and external barriers to recovery in the workplace. They identify practices they can implement that promote recovery in their daily routines. They also identify things the administration can do to foster a workplace based in recovery principles.
