Have you ever been tasked with running groups without much training on how to begin? This workshop will take you through the basic steps for setting up and successfully running groups that foster recovery.
Stephanie began her career in public service right out of college and worked for the King County Regional Support Network for seven years. She co-founded the youth organization Youth ‘N Action (now called Youth Sound) while working on the Children, Youth, and Families System of Care grant. Stephanie began working for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) doing System of Care grant site visits and then was recruited to work on the Mental Health Transformation Grant administered by the Office of the Governor of Washington State. Stephanie then worked as the Clinical Director at Capital Recovery Center.
Stephanie was brought on as a consultant to work on the Youth and Family Certified Peer Counselor strategic planning process. She collaborated with more than 40 youth and family leaders across Washington giving input into what is now the current Youth and Family Certified Peer Counseling Curriculum.
Stephanie Lane has been a youth engagement specialist for 15 years and works within the boundaries of system of care values and principles. She co-created a youth organization called Youth ‘N Action, for youth leaders with previous system involvement. She has presented at over 40 conferences on youth engagement. She is currently the Program Director for the Workforce Development Collaborative. She has expertise in creating and licensing Behavioral Health Agencies, writing policies and procedures, training on certified peer counseling and she facilitated the creation of the Youth and Family Certified Peer Counseling training. She is fun, energetic and knowledgeable. She received two awards from two different Governor’s in Washington State, and received three ECCO awards for excellence in communication and community outreach. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for CVAB, a Washington state peer run organization, Cascade Pacific Advisory Board for Medicaid Integration and Transformation and is a member of the Office of Consumer Partnerships Certified Peer Counseling Ad Hoc Advisory Committee.

Stephanie provides consultation in creating and licensing behavioral health agencies, writing policies and procedures, training on certified peer counseling and the creation of Youth and Family Certified Peer Counseling training. Stephanie’s focus is on ensuring at plans for the supervision, care and treatment of children, youth and families are delivered in a holistic and person-centered manner.
