December 13, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Recovery is Culturally-Based!

Continuing Education Workshop for Peer Counselors

Recovery is Culturally-Based! is a Diversity Focus training that strives to reinforce diversity, inclusion, and engagement in Peer Support work in order to build and maintain a diverse workforce, foster and develop an inclusive workplace, and promote inclusive diversity to deliver the best services to our Peers. Diversity Focus training develops cultural awareness and sensitivity to others in a multicultural work environment. This Diversity Focus training includes activities and ideas that help ensure we foster an atmosphere of shared ownership on diversity issues. The goal is to build a culture of inclusion where the superiority of a social or cultural group, as well as sexism and racist language do not exist.
