Group Facilitation
April 29, 2022 @ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

This workshop is an interactive coaching on group facilitation. Peers may lead many different types of groups and if you have facilitated groups or are interested in groups or if someone is encouraging you to be a facilitator, this workshop is for you.
We will explore group options, best practices and do some role playing. This will be very interactive and you will have opportunities to experience the power of groups.
I encourage you to bring your experience and knowledge to share ideas and best practices.
The pandemic has changed the way I lead groups; Telehealth has opened up a new dimension and if you are interested in a virtual platform or in person meetings, both of these will be addressed.
Join me for a powerful group workshop where we will work together to become more confident in leading groups
Lori Vincent is a gifted speaker, facilitator, influential coach and mentor. She has been working with parents, families and youth for the past 25 years. She has spent over a decade working closely with women in prisons; facilitating small groups, resolving conflict and healing trauma. She is passionate about recovery and sees the value of vulnerability, resiliency and accountability. Lori currently works for a community mental health organization – collaborating with families, school districts, law enforcement and other local agencies to support families and have their children (and themselves) thrive. Lori draws upon her own personal experiences of parenting and recovery. She brings validation, praise, acknowledgment (and a little bit of challenge) to everyone she collaborates and works with. She has started and facilitated groups in the local women’s prison and began the first peer-led telehealth parent support group in her agency. Saying that Lori leaves everyone better off than she finds them is an understatement. Her colleagues call her “the master of motivational interviewing” and “the self-care queen”. Faith and self-care keep her balanced, and most weekends you will find her in nature experiencing adventures with her husband, Jim.
