Crisis Awareness and Communications in Peer Support Training (CACPS)

Only For Washington State Certified Peers working in a Crisis Setting
Crisis Awareness and Communications in Peer Support Training (CACPS) is an event you won’t want to miss! Join us for a week (40 hours) of learning and networking with like-minded individuals who are passionate about mental health and peer support.
Our training sessions will cover topics such as crisis intervention, effective communication skills, and self-care strategies. We also cover how to ask about suicide and support people thinking of suicide.
This in-person event is a great opportunity to enhance your knowledge and skills in supporting others during challenging times. Don’t miss out on this valuable experience!
Priority attendance is given to Certified Peers working as Crisis initial responders, i.e. 988 peers, peers working with DCRs on a crisis team. Your registration will be confirmed closer to the date of training once registration list is approved.
We will have Two Opportunities to attend in the coming year!
September 19 – October 3, 2025 in Spokane County
November 17-21, 2025 in Clark County
There will also be an orientation via zoom to attend in advance of the Training. Options will be provided during registration.
No Show/No Call Policy: Once you are registered, please notify us immediately if you cannot attend. Registering for this training is a commitment. Trainers and staff at Holding the Hope put in a lot of time and funds to secure trainers and training spaces and provide food throughout each day and if you do not show up, the training may be cancelled affecting everyone else who signed up as well.
